Gelber Calcit: Der Sonnenschein in einer Familie, die jede Farbe des Spektrums hervorbringt

Gelber Calcit ist das gleiche Mineral wie Kreide, Marmor und Kalkstein: Calciumcarbonat, nichts weiter. Die gelbe Farbe erhält er durch eine geringe Menge an Eisen, die während der Bildung eingelagert wurde, dasselbe Element, das Citrin in Quarz gelb färbt und vielen anderen Mineralien orangefarbene Töne verleiht.
