Marston-Marmor Freiform 22cm, Unterjura, Großbritannien

Diese freie Form aus Marston-Marmor stammt aus Marston Magna, Somerset, innerhalb der Obtusum-Zone des Unterjura. Vor etwa 200 Millionen Jahren entstanden, ist Marston-Marmor trotz seines traditionellen Namens ein fossilienreicher sedimentärer Kalkstein.

Der Stein enthält eine natürliche Ansammlung von Ammoniten aus dem Unterjura, darunter Promicroceras, Asteroceras, Cymbites, Xipheroceras und verwandte Formen. Diese versteinerten Ammoniten erscheinen als blasse Spiralformen, eingebettet in eine dunklere grau-braune Kalksteinmatrix, die einen vielfältigen Schnappschuss des frühen jurassischen Meereslebens aus einer einzigen geologischen Umgebung bewahrt.

Dieses Stück wurde von Hand poliert, um die fossilen Details hervorzuheben und gleichzeitig den natürlichen Charakter des Steins zu bewahren.

Dieses Stück steht nicht von alleine aufrecht. Es kann je nach Vorliebe natürlich auf der Seite liegend oder mit einem geeigneten Ständer aufrecht stehend präsentiert werden.

Marston-Marmor ist für sanften Wasserkontakt sicher, obwohl die Reinigung am besten mit einem weichen, trockenen oder leicht feuchten Tuch statt durch längeres Eintauchen durchgeführt wird.

Import Duties & Taxes (outside the UK)

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in destination country. This varies by country, and Tali and Loz encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us.

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Tali and Loz at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.
