Libysches Wüstenglas, auch bekannt als Libyscher Goldtektit, ist ein seltener und faszinierender Tektit, der in der Sahara-Wüste gefunden wird. Vor über 28 Millionen Jahren entstanden, wird sein Ursprung einem Meteoriteneinschlag zugeschrieben. Der faszinierende gelbe bis grünlich-gelbe Farbton dieser glasartigen Substanz soll auf das Vorhandensein von Eisen und anderen Spurenelementen zurückzuführen sein.

Offiziell erst 1932 von P. Clayton entdeckt und nach der Libyschen Wüste benannt, wo es zuerst gefunden wurde, wurde dieses rätselhafte Juwel von alten Zivilisationen wegen seiner Schönheit und seiner angeblich mystischen Eigenschaften geschätzt. Historisch wurde es in Schmuck und Amuletten verwendet und symbolisierte Schutz und Klarheit. Ein Stück davon wurde in der Grabkammer von König Tut in einem aufwendigen Skarabäus gefunden.

Import Duties & Taxes (outside the UK)

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in destination country. This varies by country, and Tali and Loz encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us.

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Tali and Loz at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.
