Auf den ersten Blick eine tiefe, glänzende schwarze Obsidiansphäre – aber diese hat ein Geheimnis. Im richtigen Licht funkelt ein sanfter, silbriger Glanz über die Oberfläche, jener charakteristische metallische Blitz, der durch winzige Gasbläschen verursacht wird, die im vulkanischen Glas eingeschlossen sind, während es sich bildete. Sie ist dezent und still faszinierend.

Aus unserer alten Sammlung erworben und verkauft wie gesehen. Eine kompakte, befriedigende Kugel, die wunderschön auf einem Schreibtisch oder Regal wirkt.

Silberschein-Obsidian ist ein natürlich vorkommendes vulkanisches Glas, das entsteht, wenn kieselsäurereiche Lava an den Rändern von Lavaströmen bei Kontakt mit Luft oder Wasser schnell abkühlt, was die Kristallisation verhindert. Sein charakteristischer Silberschein wird durch die Lichtreflexion mikroskopisch kleiner Gasbläschen verursacht, die während der Abkühlung im Glas eingeschlossen wurden – dadurch entsteht ein schimmernder, metallischer Effekt, wenn das Licht in einem bestimmten Winkel auf die Oberfläche trifft.

Da Obsidian vulkanisches Glas ist, kann es extrem scharfe Kanten bilden und wurde von alten Zivilisationen wie den Azteken zur Herstellung von Pfeilspitzen und Schneidwerkzeugen geschätzt.

Import Duties & Taxes (outside the UK)

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in destination country. This varies by country, and Tali and Loz encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us.

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Tali and Loz at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.
