Ein seltenes Smaragd-Drilling aus Kolumbien – drei parallele sechseckige Säulen, die eine gemeinsame Matrixbasis teilen, eine Wachstumsform, die bei Smaragdproben dieser Qualität selten anzutreffen ist.

Die dominante Farbe ist ein lebhaftes Blaugrün, satt und gesättigt auf den primären Kristallflächen, das zu einem kühleren Blaugrün wechselt, wo die Säulen aufeinandertreffen. Warme Bernstein- und Ockertöne durchziehen die Matrix zwischen den Säulen, das Ergebnis eisenreicher Einschlüsse, die wunderschön mit dem Smaragdgrün kontrastieren. Die Oberfläche jeder Säule zeigt das charakteristische stufenförmige, gitterartige Wachstumsmuster von Beryll – horizontale Streifen kreuzen vertikale Prismenkanten, um einen natürlichen Gittereffekt zu erzeugen. Die Rückseite zeigt die rohe, körnige Matrixbasis mit verstreuten Glimmer- und hellen Feldspatpartikeln. Smaragd ist die grüne Varietät von Beryll (Be₃Al₂Si₆O₁₈), gefärbt durch Spuren von Chrom und Vanadium. Kolumbianische Smaragde entstehen in hydrothermalen Gängen innerhalb von Schwarzschiefer und Kalkstein, einer geologischen Umgebung, die einzigartig für die Region der Ostkordillere ist. Der hier zu sehende mehrsäulige Drilling ist das Ergebnis paralleler Kristallkeimbildung auf einer gemeinsamen Matrix – eine seltene und visuell beeindruckende Wuchsform.

Import Duties & Taxes (outside the UK)

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in destination country. This varies by country, and Tali and Loz encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us.

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Tali and Loz at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.
