Warm amethyst-violet at the core, shifting to amber-citrine and dusty rose across the upper points, the main stalactitic columns are encrusted from base to tip in hundreds of tiny druzy quartz crystals, each one catching light with a fine, sugary sparkle. A permineralised wood specimen from Zwenkau, Leipzig, Germany, where millions of years of silicification have transformed ancient timber into solid mineral, with every grain, knot, and bark ridge preserved in extraordinary detail.

Deep chocolate-brown throughout, the surface retains the full texture of the original wood: vertical grain lines run the length of the piece, a natural concave profile at the crown echoes the living tree's form, and the outer bark edge is intact on one side. Dulcote Agate is one of Britain's most visually striking agates, quarried from a single site near Wells in Somerset. Each slice is a one-off — no two are alike.

These slices display the full drama of Dulcote's signature patterning: vivid brick-red and terracotta banding sweeps across a ground of cream and pale lavender chalcedony, punctuated by orbicular eye formations, fine white lace lines, and in some pieces, a central druzy quartz cavity that catches light like a geode. The polished faces are glassy and smooth; the natural edges retain the raw, unworked rind of the original nodule.

Spirit Quartz forms when a central quartz point becomes encrusted with a dense coating of smaller secondary crystals, creating the distinctive spiky, multi-terminated surface the stone is known for. Found almost exclusively in the Magaliesberg region of South Africa, it ranges in colour from pale lavender through to deep violet-amethyst, often with warm iron oxide tones running through the matrix.
